Balancing business and motherhood isn’t always easy—but it’s absolutely possible. As a mom of three young boys and an entrepreneur running a multiple six-figure business from home, I know firsthand what it takes to create a life where both family and career can thrive.

One of the questions I get asked most often is, “How do you actually structure your days and weeks to make it all work?”

In this post, I’m giving you an honest, behind-the-scenes look at how I manage my time, stay grounded in my values, and keep my business growing—all while being fully present with my kids. This isn’t about a perfect, Pinterest-worthy schedule. It’s about creating a realistic, flexible rhythm that supports both ambition and motherhood.

Whether you’re a stay-at-home mom, a Corporate America mama, a full-time entrepreneur, or something in between, my hope is that by sharing my real-life weekly schedule, you’ll find inspiration (and a few practical ideas) to tweak your own routines and feel more purposeful in your everyday life.

Let’s dive in!

Why I’m Sharing My Weekly Schedule As A Mom And Business Owner

I’m sharing my real-life weekly schedule not because it’s perfect (trust me, it’s not!), but because I believe seeing the mechanics—the actual flow of my days and weeks—can help you spark new ideas for your own life.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters most—with more presence, purpose, and peace.

The Personal Values That Shape My Time As A Mom And Entrepreneur

When it comes to how I spend my time, I keep it really simple: I know what matters most to me, and I let that guide every decision I make about my schedule.

My number one priority is my family. Being present for my kids, my husband, and our home life comes first.

My second priority is my business and my clients. I love what I do, and I’m deeply committed to serving the women I work with at the highest level.

Of course, I still make time for other things that matter to me too—friendships, hobbies, personal growth, taking care of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally. Those parts of my life are important and meaningful. They just don’t take up the bulk of my time or decision-making energy on a daily or weekly basis.

Everything I choose to do filters through those two core values: family first, then business. If something supports my family or my business, it’s much more likely to get a “yes.” If it doesn’t, it’s either a “no” or a “not right now.”

Using my top two priorities as decision-filters helps me stay focused, avoid overcommitting, and protect the rhythm and peace of our family life. It also ensures that I’m putting my energy where it matters most, instead of scattering it in a million different directions.

This clarity has been one of the biggest game-changers for me as a mom, wife, and entrepreneur—and it’s a huge reason why I’m able to balance both family and business in a way that feels sustainable and fulfilling.

Weekly Anchors That Help Me Stay Organized And Grounded

Over the years, I’ve built a handful of “weekly anchors” that help keep our family life and my business running smoothly. They give just enough structure to feel organized, without making our days feel heavy or overwhelming.

Here are a few of the anchors that shape our week:

  • A Consistent Morning Routine:
Mornings are sacred in our house. We follow a pretty strict morning routine that helps everyone (kids and adults!) start the day with calm and intention. Having predictable mornings sets the tone for the entire day.
  • Meal Planning:
Every week, we plan our meals ahead of time. It saves so much decision fatigue during busy weekdays and keeps grocery shopping efficient.
  • Google Calendar Obsession:
I live by my Google Calendar. Every appointment, work block, family event, and reminder goes on the calendar. It’s color-coded, shared with my husband, and acts as our family’s central command center. I don’t use a traditional to-do list anymore—if it needs to happen, it lives on my calendar.
  • Flex Time List for Daily Priorities:
At the start of each day, I create a short list of my top priorities and mark them as “all day” events in my calendar. I call this my Flex Time List. These are the key tasks I want to complete if and when the pockets of time open up. Having them visible throughout the day keeps me focused, but still allows for flexibility depending on how the day unfolds.
  • Morning Activities With My Kids:
Most mornings, after our routine at home, I take the kids out for an activity—whether it’s a playground, library, or errands. Getting out of the house early helps them burn energy, and it gives me a clear distinction between “mom time” and “work time” later in the day.
  • Working in the Cracks:
As a mom of three, I’ve mastered the art of working in the cracks—those pockets of time during naps, independent play, or quiet time. I’m also not afraid to work some nights or weekend hours if needed. Flexibility is key to making it all fit without constant stress.

These weekly anchors don’t make life perfect, but they create enough rhythm and predictability to help me feel grounded. Instead of feeling behind or chaotic, I have tools that support the life—and business—I want to build.

My Daily Routine As A Mom Running A Business From Home

While no two days are exactly the same, most of my weekdays follow a similar rhythm. Here’s what a typical weekday looks like:

8:30–10:00 PM | Clean Up + Evening Work Block
After the boys are asleep, I quickly clean up the house and then dive into a second work block if needed—finishing projects, planning, or creating content.

6:00–6:15 AM | Wake Up
I’m usually up by 6:15 AM.

6:15–7:30 AM | Personal Time (Self-Care + Personal Development)
My husband takes care of the kids during this window. I use this time to get ready for the day while listening to personal development—usually an audiobook or a podcast.

7:30–8:15 AM | Switch to Mom Duty + Family Breakfast
We switch roles, and I’m back with the kids. We have breakfast and get everyone ready for the day.

8:15–8:45 AM | Morning Dog Walk
We take the dogs for a walk as a family to get some fresh air and movement before the day really starts.

9:00–11:30 AM | Outing With the Kids
We usually leave the house around 9:00 AM and go somewhere—playground, library, museum, or another outing to keep everyone active and engaged.

11:30 AM–12:30 PM | Lunch Time
We head home for lunch.

12:30–2:30 PM | Naps And/Or Work (Membership Coaching)
Some of my boys still nap, so they might be napping during this time. Or other times I might be hosting one of the weekly group membership calls inside the Mom On Purpose Membership. If all the boys are napping and I don’t have a call, then I might catch up on work or do some of my Flex Time list items.

2:30–4:00 PM | Outdoor Play or Afternoon Activities
The afternoon is less structured and depends on what’s going on. For example, we might go to the store, go to one of the kid’s doctor’s appointments, go to a playground or park, or stay home and play in our basement. I keep afternoons fairly open and flexible.

4:00–5:00 PM | Cooking And Dinner
I cook dinner with the boys, and Steve works from home so we have dinner all together as a family.

5:00—5:30 PM | Husband Finishes Work + Evening Activities
A few days a week we have activities for the boys, so might head out for swim class, soccer, or another evening activity.

6:00—6:30 PM | Evening Dog Walk
Another dog walk to wind down the day together. I love our nighttime family dog walks in the summer.

6:30—8:00 PM | Baths + Bedtime for the Boys
Baths, books, prayers, and tucking everyone into bed.

8:00—9:30 PM | Clean Up + Work
Nighttime pick up and some light work, emails, and prep for the next day.

Tools, Systems, And Mindset Shifts I Rely On Every Week

Balancing business and motherhood isn’t just about good intentions—it’s about having the right tools, systems, and mindsets in place to make it possible.

Here are a few of the essentials I rely on every single week:

  • Google Calendar:
This is my brain outside my brain. I use Google Calendar for everything—appointments, reminders, work blocks, family activities, and my daily Flex Time List. If it’s not on the calendar, it’s probably not happening.
  • Meal Planning:
Meal planning once a week removes so much decision fatigue during the busy weekdays. It keeps our meals simple, healthy, and on track without me having to think about it every day.
  • Batching and Planning Ahead:
I batch similar tasks together whenever possible—content creation, coaching prep, emails, errands—so I’m not constantly switching gears. I also plan my week ahead every Sunday, looking at both family and business commitments.
  • My Flex Time List:
Each morning, I create a short list of top priorities and mark them as “all day” events in Google Calendar. This helps me stay focused on what matters most during the small windows of time I have.
  • Working In the Cracks:
I don’t wait for huge blocks of uninterrupted time. I’ve trained myself to dive into work whenever cracks of time appear—during naps, independent play, or after bedtime.
  • Mindset Shift: There’s Nothing I Have to Do
One of the most powerful mindset shifts I use daily is reminding myself that there’s nothing I have to do. Every action I take—whether it’s business, parenting, or household management—is a choice. I choose it because I genuinely want to create this life for my family and myself. This shift keeps me feeling empowered instead of obligated.
  • Mindset Shift: Motherhood Is a High-Performance Role
I treat motherhood like a high-performance job. Just like in any important career, I believe motherhood deserves intentionality, preparation, resilience, and ongoing growth. This perspective helps me approach my days with purpose, strategy, and pride in the work I’m doing at home and beyond.

These tools, systems, and mindset shifts help me create a life where I can be fully present with my kids, fully committed to my clients, and fully aligned with the bigger vision I’m building.

Simple Tips To Help You Create A Weekly Routine That Works

If you’re looking to create a weekly routine that actually supports your family, your career, and your personal life, here are a few simple but powerful tips I recommend:

Mom Like It’s Your Job:
Inside the Membership, I teach the concept of treating motherhood like a high-performance career. When you approach motherhood with intentionality, leadership, and pride, it transforms not just how you parent, but how you experience your entire life.

Ditch the Never-Ending To-Do List:
Instead of managing a giant list that never gets done, schedule what matters most directly into your calendar. If it’s important, it deserves a real spot on your calendar—not a wish list.

Set Clear Priorities:
Knowing what matters most is everything. Inside the Mom On Purpose Membership, I teach a full course called Purpose and Priorities that clients love, because it helps you design your life around what truly matters to you—not what everyone else expects.

Plan Your Days Using a Proven Time Management System:
Randomly tackling your day doesn’t work when you’re balancing so much. Use a simple, proven time management system that gives you structure and flexibility. (Inside the membership, I share exactly how I do this step-by-step.)

Manage Your Mind First:
Managing your mindset is the most important—and the most underrated—part of creating a routine that works. It’s not just about what you’re doing; it’s about how you’re thinking while you do it. I teach practical mindset tools to help you stay calm, focused, and clear no matter what’s happening around you.

A Note About My Work Hours

I work about 15 hours per week. That’s possible because I spent years building my business to a multiple six-figure level, and I have a small but mighty team supporting me behind the scenes.

When I was first building my business, I worked a lot more hours and carried more of the workload myself. Now, I focus primarily on the highest-impact activities—serving my clients, creating new content, and growing the vision for Mom On Purpose to help more moms.

I’m sharing this because I never want you to compare your journey to mine without having the full picture. Every season looks different, and this season is one I’ve worked intentionally to create.

A Final Note

No two moms have the exact same life, the exact same schedule, or the exact same priorities—and that’s a good thing.

The goal isn’t to copy someone else’s routine perfectly. It’s to build a rhythm that works for you and your family, based on your real life, your real values, and your real dreams.

My weekly flow has been built through a lot of trial and error, mindset work, and intentional decision-making. It’s not perfect—but it’s purposeful. And that’s what I want most for you too: a life that feels aligned, empowering, and fulfilling.

If you want more tools, strategies, and support to help you create a life you genuinely love, I’d love to invite you inside the Mom On Purpose Membership. It’s where I teach you how to manage your mind, design your time, and live with more peace and purpose—on your terms.

You’re doing better than you think. And you’re more capable than you know.

I’m cheering for you every step of the way. 💗
